Welcome to SOGN!
By bike from Sogndal Airport
The bike ride along the beautiful Sognefjord can start from Sogndal Airport Haukåsen. The airport is located high and free over the fjord and has one of Norway's most spectacular approaches and several daily routes from Oslo and Bergen. From the airport you roll with spectacular views on a narrow road down to Kaupanger which was an important junction when the sea was the traffic artery. The stave church from the 12th century and Sogn Folkemuseum are well worth a visit.
Starting in Vik or Balestrand
The bike ride can also start along the fjord. From Sogndal Airport it is 70 km to Vik, then you take the ferry from Hella to Vangsnes. Balestrand is 65 km from the airport and the ferry from Hella to Dragsvik.
Starting in Vik, you get to experience unique cultural history before continuing to the pearl Balestrand. You can choose between 4 - 7 day stages of between 24 and 78 km. We are locally known and recommend the best stages for the bike ride along the "king of the fjords" - the Sognefjord, spring or autumn.
Among the small idyllic villages and the roaring waterfalls, we have picked the best of accommodation and attractions. Together it gives you the best active holiday!
Stay in unique hotels, enjoy fantastic local food and discover the hidden gems of Sognefjorden.

This was fun, we had changing weather, and it was great nature experiences. Our bike ride in Sogn is not behind what we have experienced on a bike around Europe. Norway is just as good, and just as exciting!
